The suites are fully equipped, so you don't have to take any bed linen, dishtowels, towels, dishwasher tablets or detergents. The local shop is relatively well stocked. You can get there a complete assortment of food products, drugstore goods, fishing tackle, stainless pilkers, big plastic Ripper baits, knitted ropes and more. The only thing you will have to do is accept the Norwegian prices of food, which are twice to three times higher than those in the Czech Republic.
It is obligatory to wear floating clothes or a life vest on boats – life vests can be provided to you free of charge. For fishing with a bait, a fishing rod 2.4 to 2.7 m long and weighing 100 to 300 g is ideal, with a surf fishing reel and a knitted rope with a diameter of 0.25 to 0.30, Rippers from 15 cm on, jig heads from 50 to 150 g, jig heads with really sturdy hooks (even a halibut weighing about 20 kg can straighten those commonly sold), big plastic fish of the Roybait type weighing 240 to 1,000 g (these are a well-tried bait for great depths or if the drift is strong and consequently light baits cannot be plunged to the bottom) and dragging pilkers. The best way of catching big halibut is using a whole pollock as a bait. You will need to have spring-hooks, swivels and three-way swivels with a loading capacity of 70 kg on your fishing leaders, as well as three-way hooks, single hooks, fishing sinkers, cigar-type fishing sinkers weighing 200 to 400 g and 0.1 mm nylon. For pilker fishing, a fishing rod with a loading capacity of 30 to 50 pounds and 2.1 m long is ideal, and a multiplier with 300 to 400 metres of knitted rope with a diameter of 0.30 to 0.40 mm. A well-tried bait is a stainless Norwegian pilker weighing 500 to 1,000 g, plus red or black eel baits, hook size 12/0. Quality gaffs to take the fish out are available in each boat.
There is a possibility of borrowing quality fishing tackle, like WFT and Shimano fishing rods, Penn Slamer surf fishing reels, Shimano Tyrnos multipliers, pilker rods, dragging rods and floating clothes at NOK 1,000 per stay. If necessary, we always have more well-tried baits, which you can buy from us. So if someone does not want to spend large sums of money on expensive fishing tackle, he can come with his personal belongings only and we will lend everything to him. However, the lending of fishing tackle must be booked in advance, preferably simultaneously with the reservation of accommodation. You can also buy from us a polystyrene case to transport your catch – the price is NOK 100.00. Should you have questions in respect of fishing tackle or should you like to discuss baits or the way of sea fishing, do not hesitate to contact me. I will tell you what works best in this locality. It is still common that some fishermen come here with cases full of baits and other stuff and eventually they do not need them at all.
