Transport

The peninsula of Loppa is joined to the mainland by way of a short ferry, which goes on the route Øksfjord – Bergsfjord – Sør Tverrfjord every day, except Saturdays (the travel lasts one hour and forty minutes). The price for the transport of a car and four persons is roughly NOK 600.00. The transport of persons with baggage without cars is provided by LoppaXpressen using express personal boats (hurtigbat) from the towns of Alta / Hammerfest and Øksfjord to Bergsfjord. There is also a bus route from Alta Airport to Øksfjord – the bus stops just by the ferry stop at Øksfjord. Another possibility is renting a car at Alta.
